Non nobis, Domine, non nobis...

Spiritual navel gazing of the pilgrim soul and other mindless wanderings of occasional relevance which try to give glory, laud and honor to the God of Mercy and Love. We walk by faith up Mount Carmel together and hopefully do not stumble too much along the way.

"Faustina's Theme"

Daylight descends
As creation ends
Light enlightening everyday
Of Truth to be told
In firmness of old
Life shifts------------------------------------not to pass away
Goodbye dear heart----------goodbye.

And keep we praise
On thanksgiving stay
Or mercy the quicker shall come
Endless joy---------amidst strife
Today to die---------another------
Another---------------
To be snatched away.

And keep we three
Our hearts on Thee
War soon to marry away
Battles fought
In lands so distant
Soon shore to come
In hearts of stone.
Break apart in song
Walls to tumble down
Joyful praise ----------echoing.
Of trumpet blast
Of cymbals crash
Bells sang that day-------------so exultantly.

And did we try
Never to die--------of saddest hymn remembering-------------
We must this day
Renew to transform
Enter tombs---------------trustingly.
We wait---------------------we three------------then four----------------and nine
Friends last------------or so it seems
Fires to enter
Battles to fight
Waiting for love-----------------
Breathlessly.

And did we try
Sing songs in nigh
Around fires
In peace.
I saw her dance-------
I wept in joy
I heard her sing
What a song-----------for love to begin to believe
I saw her heart
And------------------------
As I loved------------
She walked away
Never again to turn back.

And now I begin
What seemed like the end
New day---from peace He giveth.
To sing for Thee
Some day to find a hand
For life to love to death
Gates set in Pearl
Streets lined in gold
Hearts made to love
United at last
With One.
